BOSTON (CBS) — The city of Boston began to say goodbye Monday to its longest serving mayor with an historic tribute to Tom Menino.
Menino, 71, died Thursday after a battle with cancer.
Former President Bill Clinton arrived at Faneuil Hall just before 10:30 a.m. to pay his respects to Menino’s wife Angela and their family. Clinton will not attend the funeral, but Vice President Joe Biden is expected there.

Starting at 10:45 a.m., church bells in Boston will ring 71 times – one for each year of his life – to honor the former mayor as he makes his final ride through the cityfrom Faneuil Hall to Most Precious Blood Parish in Hyde Park, where Menino’s funeral will take place at noon.
