BOSTON (CBS) – A public farewell to former Boston Mayor Tom Menino is expected to draw thousands of people on Sunday morning.
Boston’s longest serving mayor, who died on Thursday after a battle with cancer, will lie in state on Sunday at Faneuil Hall.
The service will be open to the public.

Menino will be accompanied by an honor guard that will include former staff members. Shifts will also bring groups that represent causes of importance to Menino, community leaders, and others who worked closely with him.
Sunday’s services begin at 10 a.m. City Hall will also be open to the public as Menino lies in state.
People attending the event are encouraged to use public transit as parking will be limited. No photography or videography is allowed inside Faneuil Hall during the event.
