Ad War BMW vs. Audi

Sometimes, the best way to create a buzz about a brand is by encouraging the audience and media to start talking about it by themselves.

BMW and Audi have been competitors for years in the luxury car market but in 2009 Audi took a shot at BMW:

Shortly after, BMW of Santa Monica took up the challenge and fired back:

That exchange ended with just two billboards (don’t worry there were many other humours advertisements such as these two)

But have a look at this! These are fan-made photoshopped images that appeared shortly after. Audi fans took it upon themselves to produce a new billboard.
