KENSINGTON, N.H. (CBS/AP) — An extensive manhunt in the area straddling the New Hampshire and Massachusetts state lines ended with a suspect being taken into custody where the chain of events began at his home in South Hampton.
Kensington and New Hampshire police responded to a call just before 4:30 Tuesday afternoon asking that they check on the welfare of an individual in a home on Highland Avenue.
Police said that when they arrived they were met by an armed man, Anthony Reardon, 44, who they were unable to convince to put down his weapons. The officers took cover and the man attempted to flee in a police cruiser.
