Strong Lester Performance& Five Run Fourth Lead Red Sox to Victory Over Rays

The Boston Red Sox turned a five-run fourth ultimately into a 12-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays to give Boston a 1-0 series lead.

Johnny Gomes and Jarrod Saltalamchia were arguably the star lineup players of the game – each hitting two-run doubles to start the amazing fourth inning the Sox had. However, the real star of the game had to be Boston game 1 starter Jon Lester

Lester, who finished his day going 7 strong innings, six strikeouts and two walks – leading only to two runs and only three hits to shut the steaming Rays down.

Wil Myers and the rest of the Rays defense had a day that I bet they wish they could forget. In a key play in the fourth, Myers seemed to have a handle on a deep fly ball hit by Boston DH David Ortiz, but for some reason, at the last second Myers gave up on the ball and later said that this was due to him seeing Desmond Jennings out of the corner of his eye and it led to confusion on who was to handle this fly out. This costly mistake put runners on second and third and it helped begin the Sox comeback.

So while the Rays hd an afternoon to forget, the Sox had an afternoon that led them to their 1-0 lead over the Rays in this ALDS series.

So I ask, what was your start moment of the game?
